Description
We offer for purchase a property with a long history in an extraordinarily beautiful area of Bucharest, the Ateneu area. In 1890, after the completion of the Romanian Athenaeum, the French architect Albert Galeron designed a neoclassical house for Zoe Slatineanu. This house on Str. George Clemenceau no. 6 (formerly Corabia) was designed in neoclassical style between 1890-1891 by Albert Galeron, in fact this building represented an extension of Zoe Slatineanu's house at number 4, which was demolished during the interwar period to build a modernist building in its place. Later the house at no. 6 (which can be interpreted as a Masonic temple) was purchased by his relative by marriage, Alexandru Lens Filipescu (1853-1938) from the French Linche de Moissac family. It belonged to him for approx. 15 years, until the First World War, when it was sold to the engineer and architect V. Halaceanu (1870-1917). After 1977, this house was included in the ensemble of buildings intended to house the new "Fashion House", the IMOD Fashion Institute.
The building requires an extensive modernization and renovation project to put the house back in a new light.
The agency fee is 3% VAT.
